
AFRICAN HIGHLANDS

I made all the models in 3ds Max 5 except the cow and hippo meshes, which I got from 3D Cafe.

For some of the more complex animations I used the technique of "character rigging."  The model is fitted with an internal skeleton, and "IK controllers" are attached to its extremities so that it can be posed like a marionette on strings. The skin of the model-- what you see in the game-- just goes along for the ride with the animated skeleton.

It would be cool if other track makers would clone the track and come up with a better layout. The road and ground patterns are set out in the upper left corner of the map
