Installation.
-------------

Put PODX.exe in the folder of your choice. The program does
not have to be in your MTM folder.

You can create a shortcut to PODX on you desktop or start
menu (right-click, New, Shortcut).

Using PODX.
-----------

The program supports two game folders - these are where
your MTM1 and/or MTM2 game is installed to. You can use just
one or both of these.
(Note: the reason there are two is so that the program can
be used for MTM1 and MTM2 for those who have both).

The first time you run PODX, it will try to locate where the
programs are installed and set the folder names automatically.
If it can't find them, it will set the folders to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Monster Truck Madness
and
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Monster Truck Madness 2

Either way, you can edit the folder names manually if they
are wrong.

Once you have run PODX and hit "Apply", the folder names
will be remembered and you wont have to worry about that
anymore.

PODX automatically figures the version of MTM that the
respective folder(s) contain, and displays it just above
the folder name.

The "Ext. POD folder" is so that you can put your POD files
in a separate folder (keeps things tidy if you have lots), or
- for those with both versions of MTM - so that you can load
the POD files from the other game folder (most MTM1 tracks
work in MTM2).
So "Ext. POD folder" can be the name of any folder on your
system, including that of the other version of the game.
You can leave it blank if you wish.

PODX lists all the POD files in the selected game folder and
the ext. folder (if applicable), and also any "system" sub-
directories of those folders (if they exist).

Just click on an item in the list to select or de-select it.
Check marks indicate which are selected, and a running count
of how many tracks and trucks are selected is shown at the
bottom.

There are limits to the number of files and tracks that MTM1
and MTM2 can have loaded at once (MTM1: 27 files, 16 tracks,
MTM2: 25 files, 99 ? tracks). PODX will prevent you from
selecting too many.

When you hit "Apply" the pod.ini file is written and you are
ready to play. You can keep PODX running if you're going to
be switching PODs around inbetween races.
