The text below the hashed line was written by the author himself back in February of '99.
Unbeknownst to him, he had done what I have to believe most track makers strive to do at
least once in their MTM 2 careers, and that is author a track which will go down as a
"classic". Pinwzrd did just that, and it certainly justifies why this track is STILL very
popular today - more than three years later.

What I would like to present to all of you is a slightly modified version of Pinsane
(with Pinwzrd's permission, of course) that made a truly great track just a little better!

One other thing; I would like to "re-acknowledge" the contributions of all the
names you see below and their roles in the making of "pInaNe!". But please read
on! Pinwzrd tells a very interesting story about how this track came about, the things
that inspired him, and some of the key personnel involved. I wish all track makers would
take the time to do that. :)

Here's a list of the changes that were made:

- The timing on the train was changed to preclude interrupting the start of the race.
- Shortcut: tree models were altered so that ONLY the tree trunk was set to collide.
- Moved the finish line to the final stretch and smoothed that section of the track.
- With graphics set to "Normal" or higher, you'll see a stop-go indicator at the start line.

Pin - thanks again for giving the go-ahead to make reparations and subtle changes to your
track, bud. We loved it before, and now that the changes are in place...we love it even
more, and hopefully everyone else will too!

Credits:

Third Day - he's the guy who conceived the idea to make changes to the track.
SLO_COPE - Suggested the tree models be fixed and the timing reset on the train.

Welcome to my very 1st track! This track started out as a simple dirt oval and blossem'd
into what a proudly call "pInaNe" Was_General Lee had a HUGE part in making this happen.
He literally showed me via ICQ / ZoneMessager how to use track editing program "Traxx".
Whenever I had a question he either had the answer of know got me in touch with someone
that did. Mucho Gracious Senior. _Zoon_ as he's known on the Zone, showed me how to use
the editing features of "traxx" to its fullest potential. My biggest hurdle believe it or
not was making what I now call a "True Bank Turn" (not the flat variety you find in the
TMX series of tracks) My banked turn consists of many angles and due to that fact one can
take those banks at a high rate of speed and lose very little speed thoughout the turn just
like the banked turns on a real speedway. That one 180 degree turn took me a agonizing 5
hours to complete using the "Smoothing Tool" and sizing the smoothing area up and down.
Now I can do turns like that in less than 5 minutes! Amazing what the "Single Pixel" tool
in the terrain tool area will accomplish. Thanks for telling me about that MAJOR time saver
_Zoon_!

As stated earlier, pInaNe! started out as a simple oval track, each time I got a new idea/
concept I added it to the track as i learned how to do it. I believe for a 1st Track that
I've really outdone myself. Don't know how to improve on it except for learning how to make
custom textures. My next track will have such textures. TT_Chucklez was very nice and provided me with the Excellent "pInaNe" Track Browser Pic! Love that PIC, Great Job!

Track Features:
True Banked Turns: 90 & 180 degree variety, and I have a 270 degree turn as well!
Team Logo Display: Used a suspended Ground Block to display MTM2 Team Logos on
                   **Thanks ASU_Zeus and TripTrap
Short Cuts? There is only ONE intentional shortcut on the track but its VERY RISKY
Secret Areas? All I'll say is that there are some, wont say where or what type.
Best Time (Beta): Best known time on pInane! is 3:04 and odd change by ME! TT_Pinwzrd

Of course there are many others in the MTM2 community that have patiently answer'd
my track making questions even when I didnt have any idea of what the actual terms were
for what I wanted to do. Thanks go out to the following individuals for thier help.

TT_Matagasco TT_Chucklez TT_Insane TT_GyverX

If I forgot anyone I apologize. Of course every track needs it Beta Testers / Victims.
